Industrial Robotics

In EDS Robotics we carry out all kinds of integrations to create technological solutions and applications, regardless of the type of robot or its brand.

A robot is defined as any programmable automatic machine capable of performing certain operations autonomously and replacing humans in certain tasks, especially heavy, repetitive or dangerous ones. They can be equipped with sensors, allowing them to adapt to new situations.

Throughout our trajectory, we have worked with brands such as ABB, YASKAWA, KUKA, MITSUBISHI or FANUC, becoming part of the FANUC Europe Authorised System Integrator Network..

Types of robots we work with

SCARA Robot

The SCARA robot is a four-degree-of-freedom robot with horizontal positioning. Its arm is rigid in the "Z" axis and flexible in the "X" and "Y" axes, allowing it to adapt to gaps in these axes.
These robots are known for their fast duty cycles, excellent repeatability, high load capacity and wide field of application. Their unique configuration is designed to manage a variety of material handling operations.

Anthropomorphic Robot

The anthropomorphic robot can be programmed to manipulate any type of element, for which it designs and manufactures claws that allow it to manipulate any element. It stands out for its great versatility.
In addition to the programming of the robot itself, depending on the type of element to be handled, a whole series of auxiliary machines are integrated into the cell.

Delta Robot

The delta robot is a parallel robot that can have up to five degrees of freedom and, depending on the model, up to 6 axes. The upper base is fixed while the lower base, where the end effector is located, is mobile and is always parallel to the fixed base (they are joined by connecting rods or kinematic chains based on the application of parallelograms).
It is the fastest type of robot (up to 300 movements per minute).

AGV Robot

An AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicles) robot is a vehicle that drives autonomously and moves without a driver along previously defined routes or paths. In case they encounter obstacles in their path, they are flexible in finding alternative routes.
These robots have been specially designed to improve process performance in the transport and distribution of materials in factories and warehouses, and can work both indoors and outdoors.

Cartesian Robot

The cartesian or cartesian coordinate robot is an industrial robot whose three main control axes (X,Y,Z) are linear (they move in a straight line instead of rotating) and form right angles to each other.
This mechanical configuration simplifies the equations in the control of the robotic arms.

Collaborative Robot

The collaborative robot, also called cobot, is an articulated industrial robot that is characterised by its small and medium size. They are created to automate repetitive production processes by sharing a working environment through human-machine interaction.
These robots work autonomously, sharing the workplace with humans, thus offering benefits and advantages for companies. This feature differentiates them from other industrial robots, which are kept isolated for the safety of the operators.
Collaborative robot integrated in our automatic palletizing system called Laboro. For more information or to download the datasheet, please visit the product page.

PLC

We also work with PLC or Programmable Logic Controllers, which are computer systems used in industrial automation systems to control robots or industrial machinery in the service of a company or factory that implements them in its assembly lines.
A PLC can be used to program any type of machine and improve industrial processes. In EDS Robotics we work with PLCs manufactured by SIEMENS, ALLEN-BRADLEY, OMRON and MITSUBISHI.
